Welcome!

We are looking for special dogs & their handlers! We are looking for people who would like to share their special canines with others in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, burn camp — or maybe your dog would enjoy having a child read to him! Please check out our links page to see what therapy dogs and READ Partner dogs are all about. Contact us if you are interested in joining our growing group. We need people to visit in Luray, Front Royal, Orange, Madison & Warrenton areas.

It seems some dogs are born to do therapy work. Here's Bo doing what he loves best.Waggin’ Hearts is a therapy dog group based in Rappahannock County, Virginia. At the present time we are visiting several nursing homes and senior centers in the area, and some of our group participate in the Books & Barks R.E.A.D. Partners program at local schools.

We would like to expand to include children’s daycare centers, assisted living facilities, other nursing homes, schools, hospice care and other facilities.

Becoming a therapy dog team with your favorite canine is a great way to share your dog with others and to bring joy to people who need a little cheering up.

Waggin' Hearts meets once every other month for an activity and to set up schedules for visits.
